A long-term plan

A 10-year route map for regeneration and investment across the town centre.

A ten-year framework that outlines regeneration projects for Rugby town centre, including up to £140 million in development value, over 600 new homes, major upgrades to Rugby Central, new spaces and improvements to routes, culture and community facilities.

It brings together work on public spaces, business support, cultural activity, key sites and future opportunities. It also shows how individual projects connect as part of a wider plan for Rugby.

Work already underway

Projects at different stages, pulling in one direction

Regeneration is already happening. Current work includes public realm improvements, new planting, support for shopfronts and work to bring vacant buildings back into use. The Council is also progressing plans for key sites such as Rugby Central, Old Market Place and the area around Rugby Art Gallery and Museum. These projects are at different stages, but together they are intended to make the town centre more welcoming and easier to use.
